Reflections of 2011

Oh. Is it really that time of the year again?

I still have some unpublished photos from Christmas and now I already have to prepare myself for the new year? It frightens me to see the time running so fast. (-`Д´-ノ)

Usually I don't like to do things like reflections of the last year or new year resolutions. I'm not going to entirely break my rule so today I merely want to share a few thoughts.

This year was full of surprises. It started incredibly bad for me but I'm glad that I made it this far. On my own. Of course, I had helping hands from family and friends as well. σ(TεT;)

I decided to start things over, like returning to my old interests, hence the revival of my blog. Alright, I moved the blogging platform, blogspot is actually very convenient to use. lol ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

Other than that I truly had a super bad skin year, but I'm slightly recovering. *keeping my fingers crossed* Okay, I believe it was the worst when I was 16, so.... it's not too bad. (*/////∇/////*) Oh and I guess I spent way too much money and  time strolling around the drugstore and bought tons of unnecessary beauty products. Plus I should remind myself to catch more sleep. And have facial masks more frequently as well. Eat less chocolate and overall reduce my sugar intake, eat healthier, etc., etc., etc......... ∞

Oh no.... who said at the beginning that this is not supposed to be a list of reflections and resolutions?! Need to stop at this point. lol (●´ω`●)

Now to my plans for New Year's Eve.

With my two besties currently out of town I feel slightly bummed out. Even though I have options left at the moment I'm merely being indecisive. Not to talk about my outfit and makeup. (o-_-o) Judging by that I rather want to stay at home and sleep instead of worrying about an outfit. sigh. (〃ω〃)

Too bad that I have to return to work on Monday. lol Sorry, that was super random....

What are you doing on New Year's Eve? I'm sorry, this is a scheduled post...

Yummy dessert?!

It's no secret that I love organic products and on special occasions I'd even splurge on organic food as well. The other day I decided on a yummy looking dessert called Schwarzwälder Kirsch Kuchengenuss as I absolutely LOVE Black forest cake and even more so when it comes as(?)/in(?) a niblet. Let me tell you it wasn't cheap.... But it looked so good that I couldn't possibly walked away without putting one into my shopping cart. (* ̄^ ̄*) I mean just look at it. It comes with a small package of chocolate flakes as well!! (・∀・*)♪

Of course, everthing made from organic ingredients. Uh now I feel super posh.... (▼д▼)o (My sense of humor is weird....) lol

However, it turns out to be something really gross.... Actually it ranks quite high on my list of the yuckiest experiences of my entire life. EVER. (=ω=。) Are you prepared for this?

Of course, when I took the pictures I still didn't know, yet.

But underneath the cream topping I spotted...... something GRAYISH-GREEN..... (*=д=)

Believe it or not but it was MOLD. WTH?!!! I was devastated and felt incredibly sick at once.... (〇Д◎ノ) Most certainly I wasn't sick I just felt like that, there's a huge difference....

Okay, the next thing I did was to check on the best-before date and realized that it was completely my own fault because I bought something which was almost due to expiry and then I put it into the fridge for like three days. I'm not freaking out because I ate stuff that is expired but that I almost put mold into my mouth. OMG....

I'm just so glad that I looked at the dessert prior to eating the entire cup. It saved me from tasting something weird and afterwards running to the bathroom and..... vomiting. (-`Д´-ノ;;)

Lesson learned. I need to check the expiry date more carefully. Not just inside the store but also when I already bought the stuff and take it out from the fridge.... ugh... Traumatic event. I won't be buying this dessert any time soon. Most probably NEVER AGAIN!!!! I won't even touch something from this brand again, even though it was my own fault. (;☆ω☆)

Lining the waterline

Do you line your waterline?

I tried it several years ago by using my favorite MAC fluidline but I found the idea of wearing eyeliner on your upper/lower waterline very strange unusual. Just because I wear contact lenses and my optometrist strongly opposed to that so I was more than confused when I flip through beauty magazines and see that drawing a line on either upper/lower waterline is somehow a must, no matter if you wear contacts or not. Besides, these days I find myself wearing my glasses only so why not give the idea another try?

For my first attempts I chose a gel eyeliner and frankly, it wasn't easy for me. Messing around the delicate eye area with a brush is dangerous as I'm not a very skilled person when it comes to makeup related stuff. I had problems with controlling the brush (poking-myself-in-the-eye-alarm) and after I finished drawing the upper waterline the gel eyeliner smudged on me....  (-ε-) Fail.

Never mind, I still have a pencil eyeliner left which I tried out the next time. But.... it didn't work out either as it smudged on me even more and I nearly poked myself in the right eye. I'm wondering why all the bad stuff only happens to be on my right eye... like infection, cornea inflammation.... (,-`Д´-)

Then I came across this video on youtube. I'm sorry that it's in Cantonese, however, BeautyQQ added some English subtitles so I guess it would be okay for all people to watch. (。´・ω・)

Seriously this tutorial really encourages me to go for another try as it does make a huge difference. I'm not wearing a lot of makeup and put my main focus on the eyes, but then I'm not doing smokey eyes just the average normal look that consists of eyeliner and mascara, that's it. So I think it would be great to do some tightlining along with lining the upper waterline to make my eyes stand out a little bit more. If that is possible. lol (*ゝω・´*)

I guess I'd refrain from lining the lower waterline as well since I wasn't born with the biggest eyes and I'm afraid it would make them appear even smaller if I frame the entire eye. I know a lot of Asian ladies are lining both waterlines but unless I want to go for a dramatic look I guess I won't be doing anything to my lower waterline any time soon. (o・。・o)

For now I try to figure out which products are suited since I obviously chose the wrong ones at first. Of course, I'll keep you updated on that.

Alverde Lip Balm Calendula

I'm finally back with a proper posting this time. ~~-v(* ̄・ ̄)。。

To be honest, the products that I want to review are actually piling up. Some were gifts from loved ones but there are also items that I picked up by myself when I was strolling around the drugstore. (///ω///)

However, today I want to talk about something that has been part of my daily routine for.... a very long time already. I'm talking about the Alverde Calendula lip balm.

Basically it's just your average chapstick which comes in a plastic tube along with a matching cap. Not very pretty but practical indeed. The glide isn't as smooth as the regular lip balms such as Labello, Nivea etc. and feels more waxy and not creamy at all. But then it really depends on how you store your lip balm, and to be honest, I find that the quality of this particular chapstick tend to vary. Sometimes I get one that glides on perfectly and the other time I might end up with one that's super hard and waxy. It doesn't feel good since the surface gets rough as well.  Anyway, it has a glossy finish which I love. Of course, it only gets super glossy and shiny when the application itself was soft and easy beforehand.... Does anyone actually understand what I'm trying to say? lol (* ´Д゜*)

EDIT: To see a demonstration please refer to this entry.

Before I get back on track with my usual beauty entries, I want to share some pictures that I took recently. Funny thing is that these were actually the only ones that match the festive mood. Sometimes I wonder why there is such a hassle over an event that lasts on for about a few days (depending on where you live) only. (´・д・`) It's not that I dislike Christmas in general, even though we don't celebrate it the usual way like putting up a Christmas tree and whatnot I still like strolling around the different shops with Christmas decorations and of course, going to the Christmas market with friends, enjoying Bratwurst and gebrannte Mandeln (aka roasted almonds). As you can see, my life actually involves nothing but food. I tell you, it's the genes... Asians are supposed to be like that. ヽ(・∀・)ノ

Merry Christmas

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and are surrounded by love and warmth. Also, please don't forget it's not only about presents it's more like spending time with your loved ones. Oh and a quick reminder: Great things come in small packages. lol

How to be brave?

I went to see my dermatologist a couple of weeks ago with a terrifying result. (=ω=。) Actually I wanted her to check on my other skin problem but somehow I ended up talking about my dark spots that I have as well. It seems like some spots need to be removed as they could transform into something malignant. (☆o◎) On top of that the doctor explained the entire process in such great detail that I almost fell off the chair and fainted. Luckily I didn't since it would have been hilarious.

But see,  I tend to end up crying or at least leave with watery eyes when it gets nasty. Just because I'm not good in enduring pain. (=Д=;)

My  next appointment will be at the end of January 2012 and I'm already starting to panic whenever I think about the operation which in fact is such a small one but still.... I've never been hospitalized or something like that *fingers crossed* so it's only natural to get nervous. My doctor handed over the information sheet that I need to read carefully at home and should bring it with me the next time I see her..... (~□~;) I'm scared to death....

Time to catch up

Uh.... I've been MIA for the past few weeks. I tell you the second half of November was literally flying by  super fast!! (●・ω・●)ノ~~

It's December already with Christmas around the corner as well!! (;☆ω☆) Not that my family and I are going to celebrate it anyways. lol (ー△ー;)However, even though we don't celebrate in the normal way we still like to gather with friends and have a great feast. It's all about food and nothing else.... (≧∇≦)

So what exactly have I been up to lately?

Work has been both physically and mentally draining. Two of my female co-workers are being weird and they do drag the entire team down with their subliminal cat fight and it makes me feel very uncomfortable. I can't stand the awkward mood because I don't know how to behave. Most of the time I try to be my usual self but it's not fun when you could feel that the situation is in fact very tense despite the laughter. Also I learned that changes sometimes are necessary in order to advance. Perhaps I might change my job starting from next year. I'm really not sure but I already went to a sort of interview and I guess the manager liked me very much. Let's see....

Beauty-wise there were no drastic changes nor huge hauls to show. Sorry. However, I managed to grab one or another item which I will talk about later on since I'm now too lazy to resize all the photos that I took recently. (=∇=)ノ

For now I want to share my beautiful birthday cards that I got. Believe it or now, these were the only ones that I received, the rest were either SMS or Facebook messages.... Kind of sad since I love stationary. lol (●´ω`●) Speaking of cards, I need to hurry with my Christmas cards. Even though we don't necessarily celebrate Christmas but I still love to send out the cards to express my festive mood. ヽ(*^∇^*)ノ

Facial asymmetry

This is something that's been on my mind for so long but I've never gotten around to talk about it. It's about my uneven eyebrows. Of course, I've been told that's normal and only a few people are actually born with almost identical brows. Also, I highly doubt that anyone would notice the differences at all since one brow gets covered by my side bang pretty much all the time so it's okay. Well, sort of. (●ω●)

To make things clear, I was born that way  - they're not the result of me over-plucking them. lol (///ω///)

The left side is slanted while being kind of straight whereas the right one is rounder and more arched. In the past I tried to make them appear more even, however, it's not something that could be easily fixed on my own as the angle is different as well. I had so much trouble finding the right person who's capable of doing my brows as some ladies are more gifted and some are simply.... doing a crappy job. Working in a beauty salon doesn't necessarily mean that you are good at what you do for a living. (≧□≦)

Pomegranate juice

Time flies by really fast. I'm always surprised to see how fast my weekend comes to an end!! (TεT;)

Lately, I find myself indulging in a lot of different stuff and it makes me feel guilty. I went out eating so frequently that I feel bad about my wallet and health, as I haven't been eating at the healthiest places, either.... (*^〜^*)Plus, chocolate has been my constant companion throughout the week, making me feel extremely bad.

So okay I wanted to stop with my unhealthy lifestyle and have started to include more fruits and vegetables in my daily eating routine. But..... I swear, starting from today pomegranate wouldn't be my first choice as my sweater looks like this:

I'm horrified. Speechless and dumb. Seriously, who would eat pomegranate while wearing a white sweater? Yes, I'd do that and now suffering the consequences. How am I supposed to get rid of those stains? I've heard that pomegranate juice stains are very persistant and stubborn do deal with. o(▼皿▼メ;)o

Small things......

that brighten up my day and make me smile.

I received a sweet cosmetic pouch which is full of great products.(●ゝω・)

I'm so grateful and thank you my dear friend. I love everything that you picked up for me. (●・ω・)ノ♡

Funny thing is that I've been eyeing Burt's Bees products for a super long time already.... In the past it was a bit difficult to get their products but I've heard that some places in Germany do carry Burt's Bee now so I hope I will get the chance to buy and try more from their products in the future.

Plus it was great timing since I ran out of my Alverde lip balm earlier. It lasted so long, btw! (*´・∀・`)—♪

All I can say for now is that both lip products smell like peppermint but judging from just the smell I like the Alverde lip balm better than the one from Burt's Bees. (*´ω`*)

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream

The queen of hand cream is back!

Firstly I have to say that I'm a huge cherry blossom lover. I'd buy almost everything just because it says Cherry on it. But I don't necessarily fall in love with every single product that I purchase so in the end I'm still trying to stay as objective and sober as possible. (*ゝω・´*)

I picked up the travel size hand cream from L'Occitane a very long while ago. I paid 7 EUR for a 30 ml tube.

Personally I'm not super fond of this brand since I find their stuff overpriced. At least for the quality that you get. The ingredients aren't so natural but let's put this aside. Be aware but don't overdo it. ( ̄ー ̄) However, it's another story when I buy something that claims to be organic but in reality is not. Since this is not the case, let's move along.

Information taken from their UK website:
Enriched with shea butter, this creamy and non-greasy moisturiser nourishes and protects hands, leaving them delicately scented. Contains cherry extract from Luberon, Provence.
Sounds very nice and I rarely would agree, but this time everything is true.

What I like about this cream is the non-greasy texture. It gets absorbed into the skin very quickly leaving a nice and decent scent which is not over the top.

The texture and consistency is more gel-like and not very creamy. I don't have any problems with blending this in, though and the feeling afterwards is incredibly nice. Your hands feel super smooth and moisturized afterwards. Don't forget the subtle "Cherry Blossom" scent!! (♥∀♥)

However, the biggest downfall for me would be the price tag and the fact that it's not very rich. This hand cream is definitely more on the lighter side and more appropriate during summer. For winter I'm afraid it's not moisturizing and rich enough no matter how many times you reapply. Also, I usually don't invest too much $$ into hand cremes, mostly I'd stick with drugstore items and I really have to be crazy about the  more expensive product to justify the purchase. If I ever feel like being extravagant again, the L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream would be ranking first!! (*>ω<)

Beauty Sleep

How much sleep do you need in order to feel balanced?

When I was younger I loved to sleep in at weekends or during vacation, sometimes even up to 12 hrs! o(≧◇≦)o It took me some time to realize that it's not healthy and seriously when I remember now, it didn't feel good when I woke up. I was plagued by headaches and it feels like I've wasted half of my day....

Don't get me wrong, I still love sleeping but my schedule changed a bit so now 8-10 hrs work pretty fine for me. Of course, during weekdays I mostly catch 6-7 hrs only but that's the minimum. With less than 6 hrs I will get grumpy. lol (*/////∇/////*)

Actually it's not about the quantity but quality of sleep as well. Not to mention that I should go to bed before 10 p.m. Ooops. I promise to work on that, though.(;≧皿≦)

Through the years I've found out some methods that work great for me and I thought I might share these tips. First of all, I use a sleeping mask to cover my eyes. Especially during summer I'd wake up when the sun rises at 4 a.m. I cannot sleep in an environment that's not pitch-black so an eye mask is very helpful indeed.

The second thing that I like to use are ear plugs as I'm also extremely particular with any noise when being on the edge of falling asleep.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a diva, I just remembered about the situation I had in the past during a trip. The lovely person I had the pleasure to share the room with was snoring all night long. It was a girl, btw.... I thought only males tend to snore. Apparently I was SO wrong! In order to prevent things like that to happen yet again, I'll make sure to always bring a pack of ear plugs with me. It's a must! Plus I find it very helpful to include these in my daily sleeping routine as well since I'm living in the city, there are lots of  idiots doing stupid things in the dead of night (e.g. drunken people picking up fights or whatsoever), so when the ambulance passes by I won't hear the alarm. I used to hear the night buses passing by... Honestly, do you know how it feels like when you're snuggled into your duvet, having it all nice and cozy, almost dozing off,  then suddenly out of nowhere you hear a vehicle's sound and baaaam!!! you're fully awake...

Imagine yourself going from this ( ~−ω−~) zzz.zzz. to (〇Д◎ノ)!!! to (;° ロ°) within seconds......

Let me tell you these small things do make a HUGE difference. (☆ω☆)

Do you have more tips to share with me? I'd appreciate to know your secrets. bwahahahaha~~ ヾ(*・ω・)ノ゜

Hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend! As to me, I'm not really interested to go outside and prefer to be a couch potato instead. I tell you the temperatures are dropping and it got so super duper cold within a week. I have to adjust to the cold season first. (σ-`д・´)

Also, I've spent almost every single minute of my spare time playing with my new phone.. oh boy.... sometimes I get really confused with the functions. Plus I had some trouble with Vodafone earlier but I'm quite pleased with their customer service. The people on the phone were so much nicer than the ones working in the shops... at least they show the effort of wanting to help you, they still have passion and fire whereas the sales persons basically just want to sell something $$ to you. lol

Upgraded to a smart phone

Guess what.... I'm old school.

No, I'd rather say I'm poor. (±∀±;) I don't like to waste my money on an extra special $$$$ data plan just to get myself a new phone, even though it's a super stylish one. lol

However, it's another story when I can get it for free! Without spending a single cent I got an iPhone 4!!! How awesome is that?!! ヾ(;☆ω☆)ノ

Before you come up with any conclusions, it's a hand-me-down item from my brother!!! lol (*・∀-)☆

He got himself the 4S a couple of weeks ago and I got his 'old' phone. I like to joke that it's a hand-me-down smart phone but in reality I'm ultra happy and 100% grateful that I got an upgrade for free. Don't know if you could see that but it's still in a super duper condition, traces of usage barely exist! My brother is a very generous person. Only to family and friends, though. haha. Seriously, I'm blessed to have such wonderful people around me. They all spoil me way too much.... (///ω///) I mean, I'm a grown-up and it feels weird when your younger brother spoils you, actually it should be the other way round. Ooops. I will pay him back in the distant future after I landed a great job. *cough* Yes, I'm dreaming. Does this job I'm talking about even exists? (*´ε` *)

However, to be fair I don't think that my old cellphone was soooo bad to begin with. It doesn't come with the convenient functions of a smart phone  but still very stylish. Excuse the messy decoration, the remaining petals are all over the place... At the beginning I had more than one flower..... they all came off one after another.

Now, that I have a new electronical device the only problem I'm facing is the missing micro SIM card.... EPIC fail.... Vodafone is just so super slow I tell you. sigh. (o¬ω¬o) Also I sincerely consider changing services as I was treated uhm.... in a rude manner when I went to the shop last time to ask for a micro SIM upgrade and basically the guy wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible when he realized that he can't talk me into picking a pricey data plan. Now I ordered my card online so I don't have to deal with weird sales persons...

Essence Vampire's Love

Essence, you got me again with your limited editions.... This brand really does take advantage of my fangirlism and  makes me purchasing their stuff. Over and over. Yes, I'm weak. ( ̄^ ̄メ)

This collection is made for all the Vampire fans out there, especially targeted at uhm Twilight fans I guess. hahaha. I accidently stumbled upon the display yesterday and picked up just a few things. Even though the items aren't expensive. Of course, I do admit that I wanted to buy every single product that was available on second thought but I left the store before my brain was on hunting mode. (///ω///)

Here's my little haul. Sorry that the pictures aren't good in quality as the lighting is extremely terrible.

Nohohon Zoku.... we all need toys

Yes, I must be silly and retarded to actually pick up something like that. So what is this? It's a TOY. And it works with solar energy....(very eco-friendly!!) ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ

In my defence I may say that I bought this a very long time ago when I was foolish younger. Alright, it doesn't make the situation any better but don't you think that it's adorable? Under normal circumstances this little fellow would sit in a corner of my desk but as it was more or less a dust catcher I've decided to store it in a box. It was fate that we met again. So he is now back, sitting on my desk. Moving/nodding the head and once in a while you will hear the sound of the sea. I kid you not, it makes sounds. You can hear the movement of the ocean and.... a sea gull.(≧∀≦)

The figurine is called のほほん族 or Nohohon Zoku, which means 'carefree family' in English. This is the official website where you can find the latest models, mine is a very old one, though....

The main purpose of this figurine is to relieve stress, so don't worry but be happy!! It is soothing to watch his head moving from one side to another (procrastination queen is talking!). Very therapeutic, perhaps not as good as retail therapy but surely cheaper. lol (o ̄∇ ̄o)

I deliberately say this since I want to proceed to a part where money is involved... ( ̄ヘ ̄)

A cute collection, the colors are not special in any way but like I said earlier, I only picked these up because I like cute packaging.... Let's face it I'm a hoarder. omg... ( ≧ヘ≦) However, I don't just collect these I tend to admire the nice packaging prior to using - that's all... (´・д・`)

Kibio Sunscreen Fluide Protecteur Visage SPF 20

Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes. 。.::・'゚★。.::・'゚☆。ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ::・'゚☆。.::・'゚ I had a wonderful day and the sun was shining as an extra bonus! So glad that it wasn't pouring. haha~

I know this is long overdue.... I'm talking about the Kibio sunscreen that I picked up earlier. Sorry, I actually mean months ago....

However, as it is super important to use sunscreen on a daily basis it doesn't really matter if it's fall/autumn, isn't it?

If you suck at your job

..... then please consider changing your profession altogether!!! (ーヘー;)

Remember about my bathroom problem from last week? Well, it's still not 100% fixed. Of course, I got my water back that evening (luckily!!) but the craftsman left everything just like shown below.

Admittedly, it doesn't look nice but as long as I can have my daily shower in the evening I don't expect them to finish doing the wall on exact the same day. On Monday I got a call from the landlord, the craftsman will come again this Tuesday which is today. I was hoping that the guy will do it right and fix everything so I don't need to waste another day staying at home with waiting and seeing strangers enter my home. But no, all he did was to remove some cement, actually he just cleaned the area next to the pipe... with a drill!! (×ω×)The sound was nearly killing me as I'm still sick, and when being sick I'm particularly sensitive to any noise. I endured the entire process bravely and when the craftsman left he told me that another guy (!!!) will finish the rest - of course not today. o(>д<*)o Another person again?

Now I wonder how many different people does it take to simply put back the tiles after filling? Is it really so difficult?

The worst part came.... when I entered my room which is next to the bathroom and found something like that....

OMG!!!!!! No, I wasn't dreaming. That guy made a HOLE IN MY WALL AS WELL!!! ^!(*%@&&$^*^$*#^%@!!!! I was truly devastated and felt like fainting any moment.

Needless to say I discovered this crap when he already had left.ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ Otherwise I'd have told him my most honest opinion, that HE SUCKS AT HIS JOB and that I want to talk to HIS BOSS to file a complaint! He made things even worse and now I must let a stranger into my room as well.

I'm very upset with a fair reason! (┳Д┳)

And tomorrow is my birthday. What a wonderful present. Thank you so much for making it a memorable day for me.

Let's stop the nagging part, next time I'll be back with happier news and most importantly with my health being recovered. Don't let the bad things drag you down!! Smile and be happy!! (*/////∇/////*) Focus on the happier things in life, e.g. my neat and tidy wardrobe as I spent my weekend in organizing my winter clothes.... lol ヾ(*・∀・)/

Being blue

Well, I used to regard blogging as some sort of hobby but recently I barely had time to do anything let alone surfing the internet.

Let's recap the last two weeks: Either busy or sick. Spent the entire day sleeping on my day off or had been outside running errands, going to the doctors etc. (・へ・;;)

I feel tired, unbalanced and sick. Everything's BLUE~~ (☆o◎)

The only good thing, however, I didn't get to spend too much time in the drugstore which is good for my wallet. lol (///ω///) Actually I wanted to post a photo of my little haul from last week but sadly my camera died on my because of low battery. Boo.

The other thing is that I can't even go sleeping since we do have some issues with our pipe in the bathroom.... The craftsman came at 8 A.M. now trying to fix that problem and in the meanwhile they had to cut off the water as well!!!!! I hate this situation so much..... I have an appointment to see my doctor later on and I wonder how to dress up properly when there's no water. Hey, I'm a girl.....I need to use the bathroom once in a while. Also I can't cancel the appointment as I was literally begging the doctor's assistant to let me have this appointment today. Boohoo....

It's so not my day.

I just hope they're gonna fix the pipe today because I can't stand the idea of not taking a shower. Ewww. Gross!!! 。・゚゚・o(┳Д┳)o・゚゚・。

As I'm super frustrated I'm now off watching anime which I hadn't been doing for the longest time already.

Greetings from NYC

A friend of mine went to NYC a couple of weeks ago and she brought me a few goodies which I love so much! She told me that she had a fabulous time over there and didn't want to come back home. She's a shopaholic to the core and I do believe that it must be so freaking awesome over there!!! (♡∀♡) I also plan a trip to NYC in the distant future. lol

Maybe in a few years when I'm realistic. (oゝω・o)

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Milk

There's one product from Dr. Hauschka that I've been staying loyal to throughout the years. I'm talking about their cleansing milk. The reason why I choose this particular product is thanks to my sensitive skin, because if I had the choice I would've picked a foaming cleanser over a creamy texture. I tell you there's nothing more than a rich lather that feels super nice on your skin. Or at least I like that feeling. (o ・`∀・´)ノ

When I first got interested in organic skincare the most natural thing for me to do was to go for a brand that is well-known so I ended up with Dr. Hauschka. I literally spent a few hours trying to figure out which might be the best products for me and which might not. My usual way of approaching a new brand is starting with some very basic items such as cleanser, toner and a moisturizer.

Weekend already?

These days have been rather challenging for me. Plus I was fighting against my running nose. ( ̄◇ ̄) In fact I get the feeling that something big might come down as well. I forgot to get my yearly flu vaccination which really helped me to stay healthy throughout the cold and rainy season in the recent years...

I fear that the products are piling up. lol Let's see when I get the time to talk about those. (*≧∇≦)/ Speaking of new products, usually you won't find me doing previews on limited editions but please look at this:

from their Facebook page

OMG!!! Again, it's cardboard packaging which I'm personally not so fond of but hey, it's just so cute! I feel like buying the entire collection just because I'm a sucker for packaging...ヾ(@o@;)ノ

According to Alverde, the products will be released next week! I'm super excited! However, I don't deny that I'm incredibly tired of hunting after limited collections so even though I said I'm super excited I won't be stalking my drugstores like I did in the past. (;≧皿≦)

Also, I'm super happy that I found my missing eyeliner brush from Zoeva!! (≧ω≦) Seriously I thought I must have tossed it by accident but no, I found it in my drawer where I store my books. Ooops. Don't ask me how it got there.(×ω×)

I'm now off~ Need to get dressed for today's night out. It's a rare occasion because I usually would turn them down since I'm no party girl to begin with...

Bedtime stories

It all started with this funny video that I came across some time ago:

I'm not a cat person to begin with but this cat called Moire is just too cute!! ヾ(≧ー≦)ゞ

I didn't pay attention until I randomly browsed through different animal videos on youtube so I came across other videos by the same uploader and I remembered this funny cat. What caught my interest was that the guy got a second kitten!! OMG!! I tell you I was very surprised and the kitten is just so suuuuper cute!! (;☆ω☆)

So I keep on watching his videos. Of course, to be very honest, they're actually quite boring but I've been watching these as a bedtime story replacement. lol (^▽^) I watch one video per evening, I'm now through Moire & Crie #10 and it looks like the cats have finally gotten used to each other. Yeah, I really watched all of them - from Moire & Crie #1-10. I have no life... (ゝω・´★)

Do you have pets? Gosh, watching all these videos remind me that I miss having a pet in my life.(×ω×)

Mandarinen Schmand Kuchen

I wasn't born highly gifted with cooking skills but I like to bake, though. Once in a while. Now I wouldn't say I'm very good at baking and judging from the pictures the looks need to be refined so badly. (≧д≦)

However, it actually tastes better than its looks. (〃⌒ー⌒〃)

Don't judge a book by its cover.

Holiday = Baking day?

Today's a national holiday, hence the picture of the Brandenburger Tor  but to be honest I stayed in most of the time and did some baking at home instead of strolling around. Of course, I indulged myself in TVB dramas and various activities that are online based. (TεT;)

I needed all the leisure time to mentally prepare myself for the up-coming next week. It's going to be a very tough one so I need to rest a bit beforehand. ヽ( ̄ー ̄ )ノ

Here's a close-up shot of the Quadriga, that is on top of the gate/building/whatever. Hey I really don't know the proper word for it. Please bear with me. lol

On a more random note, I found out yesterday that the camera neck strap that I bought a while ago does not really suit. The strap is too wide for the hook of my camera because it is supposed to be for a DSLR and mine is a bridge camera which is bit more compact in size. (●ゝ∀・●)

One more off-topic my brother is getting all excited because Apple will release more information about the new iPhone tomorrow. It's a good thing to be rich since I don't have so much spare money to buy a new phone every year... (o・。・o)

New Alverde products and a great deal

The new Alverde products are finally in! o((*^▽^*))o Honestly, I kind of anticipated too see the products as soon as possible. However, when I had the actual chance to check on them I was very picky and only bought the new limited edition body butter with tangerine. I tell you the smell reminds me of the orange yoghurt that I sometimes buy. lol

The reason why I decided on a body butter is that I ran out of my current one.(●ゝω・)

The rest... well, let's see. I really wanted to pick up the powder blush in shade #03 Pretty Terra but it wasn't available yet. It looks nice on the website but I prefer to see it in real life as the color chart is not really helpful and the actual color might turn out differently.

Essence products in nude

Do you like nude?

I didn't own anything nude-ish (how shocking?!) so it was about time to change that!! The other day I was standing in front of the huge girly Essence display checking out their new products. That's when I spotted these two items and decided to pick them up just to see if nude actually suits me or not.

My favorite season

First of all, I need to complain about my internet connection as it has been the worst since Monday evening. It is great to pay so much $$$ for crappy services. (☆o◎)

Don't know if I mentioned this before but autumn/fall is actually my favorite time of the year. (☆▽☆) Probably because my birthday is almost around the corner as well. No, to be honest I don't want to get older and if there's a way I could skip this particular day, I would do that. lol (*/////∇/////*)

Okay the real reason why I especially love fall is that I finally get to wear my beloved coats!! I've been waiting to wear my coats (yes, I have sooo many different ones!!) with a pair of nice boots but I'm definitely not talking about digging out my rain boots. lol In my opinion there's nothing worse than a cold and rainy day so as long as it's sunny I'm super happy. At the moment I'm really into layering so I try to stock up with nice basics. I also bought my first snood scarf and so far I'm loving it. I bought another one later on as well but I still need to figure out the correct wrapping technique because it looks quite weird when I tried it on. It's more like a loop Pashmina. However, I love the pattern so much. (´・ω・|||)
