Dr. Hauschka eye cream

How long does your eye cream last?

I kid you not, I've been using this Dr. Hauschka eye cream for over a year now!! I apply a tiny amount every morning on my eye area and it makes my skin so smooth and moisturized. The cream itself is very light and the consistence is more like a fluid.

It gets absorbed very easily. However, I like to wait at least 5-10 minutes before I put on concealer because it blends in better that way.

The herbal scent isn't as strong as you'd assume it to be, actually I'd even say it's quite neutral. And before I forget to mention, the color is yellow-ish. Now let's move to the ingredients list:

Water/Aqua, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Water (Rose Distillate), Glycerin, Alcohol, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Beeswax/Cera Alba, Althaea Officinalis (Marsh Mallow) Leaf Extract,Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil, Hectorite, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Extract, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Lysolecithin (Hydrolyzed Lecithin), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil,Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Hippophae Rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn) Oil, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract,Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Fragrance/Parfum (Essential Oil), Geraniol

The Dr. Hauschka eye cream comes in a very hygienic tube made of aluminium. I still have some product left but it has beome quite difficult to squeeze BECAUSE it is aluminium.(●>ω<●) But then I prefer this over a jar....

This is how it looks in real-life. Not so pretty, eh? lol

I feel guilty that I love this cream so much. Of course, it claims to prevent signs of premature aging and refining fine lines... However, I'm realistic enough to not believe all this but I'm still loving this product. (=ω=。)

I am seriously torn between whether to re-purchase this cream or not. It's quite pricey for merely 12,5 ml content. I will update on this when I've made my decision.

Bye bye layout

Sigh.... At first I thought that my layout was eaten by blogger, however, I was wrong. The person who created the layout suddenly took it down. It's a pity because I loved it so much and now I'm using one of the templates that are available at blogger.... (。≧Д≦。)

I tried using a free layout which was indeed very pretty but I missed the gadgets. It's just too time-consuming if I start coding everything on my own now and I'd rather focus myself on other things. Call me lazy.

Have a nice week everyone!!

Skincare part 2

First of all, what do you expect from a beauty product?

Please always keep in mind that there's a huge industry behind this and all the companies want you to buy their products. These companies don't only sell their creams to us, they also give us the impression that by using their products our skin will look healthy, radiant and stay wringkle-free, you know the usual bla bla.
However, please think carefully about it. Could this really happen in reality? What I want to say is that we all should be more conscious and aware when buying beauty products. Sadly, the price doesn't determine the effectiveness of a product. I admit that I was once being misled and thought that only expensive stuff is good for my skin!! o(*≧д≦)o

Actually, it's more important to look what's in your product! I never paid attention to the ingredients list before but when I did I was quite shocked to learn that most of my stuff was full of garbage! But now that I'm using natural products I feel that I'm on the safer side. Of course, natural skincare doesn't work for all people, some are allergic to essential oils and in this case organic products are not the best option....

I'm by no means saying that natural products are the best and that everyone should use it. It just works pretty well for me and I'm happy with it, that's all. In the end, I think everybody should stay with products that you're content with. (*・∀<*)

Also, don't judge other people because they are using stuff that smell weird. lol

Oh and I'm not actually into the eco-trend.... I'm a huge fan of organic skincare but on the other hand I also love 'normal' make up brands. I'm kind of obsessed with mascara, hand cream, lip gloss.... (☆▽☆)

Skincare part 1

Wow, this is my first real post on something beauty-related. lol (≧∇≦)
Today I want to write about my skincare history and why I ended up using mostly organic and natural cosmetics. First let me tell you that I'm NOT using it because it is trendy !!(。・Д・。)

Some products that I'm currently using.
I had a lot of pimples when I was around 16 yrs old, I felt so ugly and consequently my self-esteem was low. It was during that time that I started using skincare products because I wanted to look pretty. lol ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

Luckily I don't have a lot of acne scars because I didn't use harsh products and somehow the pimples vanished on their own without a lot of trouble. However, I used sooooo many different products for my skin, changing quite often or when I spotted a new product that sounded promising. But the truth is that I never was happy with anything I tried. I guess that's the reason why I kept on changing products so often. Believe me, I tried expensive stuff, cheap stuff and when I reached my 20s I was only using products like Vichy and Avène which are made for sensitive skin. Many Asians have oily or combination skin and I was the only one among my friends who had super sensitive and dry skin...

However, my complexion didn't improve, my skin was red, dry and flaky. Sometimes my pores were clogged and I got a pimple every now and then. But never on the zones that are normally more oily than the rest of the face like the t-zone, no, I got pimples around my cheeks and sometimes they were HUGE.... I was wondering why.... I didn't use any make-up and sunscreen - booh on that!! - and yet, I suffered from the pimples because it took weeks(!!!) until they completely healed up. (≧Д≦)

Being unhappy and pretty unsatisfied with my skincare products I started to look for other options and it was during that time when I first heard of organic cosmetics. I admit I was beeing a bit hesitant because of the smell.... The products smell weird and it took me some time until I overcame the smell and started to like the products. They didn't break me out and I could see how my skin improved after using organic stuff. I dare to say that I almost found my holy grail in skincare because I'm still very happy with it and don't see why I should change something about my routine. (●⌒∇⌒●) Of course, I know that the skin will change during the years but I also came to realize that I my expectations of skincare was set too high when I was younger. Yeah, you could say I was young and foolish....The thing is that you can't expect a cream to completely change your complexion, because it's only a cream and there is a limit to what a cream can do no matter how expensive it was. But that's another topic for discussion which I will save for later so stay tuned.

Bad luck

First of all, I wish all the moms out there a "Happy Mother's Day"!

Hope you all have a great day.

As to me.... Well, I personally go through a bad patch. It's nothing serious but it's really dragging me down. I'm talking about computer problems. The other day I was able to fix a major issue on my computer and now I've got to deal with malware on my laptop. It's really getting on my nerves and I wonder why hackers even exist. Is it really so funny and exciting to harm innocent people by destroying their stuff? This is frightening. That some people might steal your information to do harmful things. Recently a friend's e-mail account got hacked - it was even on her birthday!! what a nice b-day present!! o(▼皿▼メ;)o - and her e-mail address was used to send out spam mails to others....
I spent the entire evening in scanning my laptop and I only caught a few hours of sleep thanks to that. Up until now I'm still unsure whether the trojan got completely removed or not. I kid you not I'm terrified. I'm afraid to go online and don't have the guts to do some online shopping even though there's something I want to buy. It's been a long while since I felt so insecure about the internet. I terribly miss the times when I could browse freely around.....  。・゚゚・(>д<;)・゚゚・。

Breakfast time

Good morning!! ヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ

*yawn* Had to get up soooo early because I have to work today. meh.... I don't really mind the work but I hate to get up early. I'm not a morning person.... I love to sleep in but then who doesn't? σ(TεT;)

Today I just want to show something I bought the other day. This is what I had on my toast this morning. Tadaaaaa~

Looks good, doesn't it? I was stunned when I saw this in the supermarket and had to buy it right away, even though I prefer healthy food. What a big fat lie that I insist on believing. lol (≧□≦)

If I remember correctly it costs like 2,19 EUR? Or was it 1,99 EUR? Aww... I really don't remember. Does it really matter? Sometimes it does but I'm a careful buyer in general so it's okay to splurge on useless things once in a while.

Okay but now let me frankly say this product was a major fail. I don't like it. It tastes weird. Should have spent the 2 EUR more wisely. (。┰ω┰。) It tastes sourly and not chocolaty(?) - does this word even exists?? anyway I'm an expert when it comes to creating new words. Disappointing!! Perhaps I expected it to taste more like Nutella and it wasn't so I'm disappointed... almost heartbroken. 。・゚゚・(>д<;)・゚゚・。It's no surprise that I wouldn't recommend this at all.... I'd rather spend the money on Nutella which is my personal favorite when I'm craving for chocolate in the morning. No, when my toast is craving for its chocolate spread..... as you can say I'm also an expert in making excuses. o(TヘTo)

Old classmates

The other day I accidentally bumped into an old classmate. We didn't chat with each other, though. I wasn't even sure that she took notice of me. lol ( ゚▽゚)

Wow.... people change soooo much!! I remember her being a plain girl, not actually an average wallflower, yet not a special person nor am I! (。┰ω┰。) However, I don't consider myself as ugly. lol lol lol Anyway, she looked so different from the past. Wearing hot pants and 9 cm high heels, curly hair like a doll, yet it looked weird and not natural in my opinion. Oh and don't forget the LV bag and her huge sun glasses which almost covered her entire face... Everything around her looked so fake and cheap, even though it wasn't.
I guess it was the combination of everything, it was simply too much. There are a lot of wealthy people who dress in a more classical way but her way of styling was emitting "I'm rich and I can afford expensive stuff". Even though I wasn't best friend with her back in my old school days I thought she was a nice girl with a tendency of being hypocritical that's all.

It's really interesting to see how the people change over the years. Sometimes it even makes me really sad to witness this process, especially when it happens to people who used to be dear to me. Suddenly they are no longer the person you know and this is frightening. I don't want to get too much into the details right now because I don't want to reopen old sores. Actually it isn't very old so I will stop here before I start thinking about the unhappy things again.....
In the meanwhile I try to make the best of my current situation. To live my everday to its fullest and have no regrets anymore. That was one of the main reasons why I wanted to start things over and return to the blogging community. Moreover, I do see the world with different eyes now and I finally came to understand what's really important. I was young, foolish and spoilt - not in a materialistic way!! - it blinded me from seeing what my priorities in life were. Even though I got deeply hurt by the person I loved the most in this world I'm no longer confused and disoriented...
Well, sometimes I am but I will think positive. I still have a long way ahead of me and we will never know what the future brings us. Keep smiling and be happy~~  (* ̄▽ ̄)ノ~~

Frozen yoghurt

There's this shop that sells frozen yoghurt and I love it~ Tastes so good!! ヾ(●⌒∇⌒●)ノ

Cannot remember the price but it wasn't sooooo cheap. Would want to try it again in the future if I get the chance to. The cup on the right is mine. I love strawberries. Ichigo power rules~~~

One thing that I absolutely hate about ebay or online shopping in general is that the item doesn't look like described. (≧ヘ≦ ) The bad thing is that I'm not a person who likes to return things unless it's broken. In this case I won't say that the item is defective - it just doesn't match with my expectation.(×ω×)

Of course I know that these are promotional images but I really thought that it's made of synthetic leather or something like that. However, when it arrived it looks like this:

Yes, still very pretty but it felt like cheap rubber. Somehow I expected more of it, because I guess I paid a little bit too much for something like that. o(>д<*)o Apparently it's a new fabric called "Chamude" and it should feel so much like leather.... But still..... I bought it because it looked like synthetic leather and now I got something with a suede finish. sigh. Anyway, it IS still nice looking and I won't leave a negative feedback because the poor seller has nothing to do with it. I should complain to the manufacturer and google the material before I place an order. Lesson learned and even though I nag about the price it really was affordable. (*・∀<*)
The other reason why I feel slightly confused is its smell. The fragrance reminds me highly of 白花油 aka White Flower Oil. (;☆ω☆) What a surprise that I recognized the smell of it because my parents never bought 白花油 yet I remembered it from my childhood. lol

About books and silly decisions

One thing about me: I love reading. All different kind of books. I am not a picky reader but of course I prefer to read nice ones if I have the choice. Does this make sense? (≧△≦) Never mind, I rarely say anything that makes sense so it's okay.

Today I stumbled across a book which sounded kind of interesting so I bought it right away. Now I'd rather not mention that I still have some new books on my shelf and they're all brand-new. (;☆ω☆) But let's skip this part. This is the book I'm talking about:

Actually I cannot say more about the content because I've only read a couple of pages so far. But for the start I do like the style of writing. At least I hope that the translator did  a good job in translating it. Unfortunately it's not available in English so I don't know why I'm even writing all this stuff. Oh my... totally pointless. ( ̄ヘ ̄) Maybe it will get translated into English in the future?

About miracles

Oh wow. It's been a while.... like 4 months?! The truth is that I totally forgot my blog for a while and when I remembered I didn't know what to do with it. *sigh* (o>ω<o)

Then I got struck by an inspiration wave some days ago and decided to start blogging on a more regular basis about my daily life and my passion: Beauty and kawaii stuff. (●⌒∇⌒●) Nothing special, there are a bunch of other blogs like that in the world wide web but I just want to do my own thing, because blogging is much more fun than reading only, even though that's what I've been doing for a while now... (=Д=;)

Okay so now let's talk about a technical achievement by yours truly you could even call it a miracle - oh and miracles really do happen (by times....)!!! I fixed my computer on my own!! Everyone who knows me must admit that I'm a retard when it comes to hardware problems on my PC and I usually have to call a friend or my cousin to fix it for me. I do have a little brother but sorry, he's just a little bit more talented than I am. lol. I know I shouldn't mention this but he can only fix some minor things in my opinion. Now back to the original story I tried to install an anti-virus software - oh no, I won't mention its name (=ω=。) - and totally screwed my computer. The keyboard and the mouse didn't work any longer and it was driving me nuts. But okay, thanks to the wonderful invention of forums I found help and got the problem fixed all by myself. I know that I can't brag about it when I merely followed the steps mentioned by some nerds ehm excuse me very professional people but hey I didn't have to call someone over at my place so I'll count it as MY achievement - at  least to a certain degree... (* ̄◇ ̄*)

There's one thing to keep in mind: If anything happens, google is your friend. o((*^▽^*))o  lol ~~~
