Weleda Citrus Hand- und Nagelcreme

I usually don't like to splurge on hand creams since the less expensive ones work just as fine. ( ̄◇ ̄) At least I don't really see a huge difference and believe me, I've tried several ones, reasonably priced (e.g. drugstore brands) and pricier ones such as Logona and Dr. Hauschka.

I bought this Weleda Citrus hand cream back in July and honestly, it was more like an emergency purchase since I switched bags and forgot to put a tube of hand cream into my new bag.... There are three things that I absolutely cannot live without:
  1. Lip balm
  2. Tissues
  3. Hand cream
It was my first time buying a hand cream from Weleda. I decided on the green tube (Citrus) since it looked more appealing to me than the Sea Buckthorn hand cream in the orange tube. lol (●ゝ∀・●)

And now let me tell you that I absolutely love the smell!! It's so refreshing and lemon-ish! Very suitable for summer.

However, the texture isn't really enjoyable when it is hot... because the cream itself is super rich and it leaves such a thick feeling afterwards. It's like your hands are covered in creamy butter. Needless to say that it will leave marks on everything that you touch since the texture is so rich it doesn't get easily absorbed into your skin. ( ̄∧ ̄) Moreover, I'd even say that it feels kind of sticky, too. But surprisingly the cream does spread really well due to the amount of Sweet Almond Oil in it. After application your hands feel hydrated and extremely nourished with a very glossy finish. Yes, it sounds weird but the truth is that your hands are shiny. I tried to capture this effect with my camera. Hope you can see it properly? (///ω///)

Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Lanolin, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Beeswax, Viola Tricolor Extract, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Fragrance (Parfum)*, Limonene*, Linalool*, Geraniol*, Citral*. * from natural essential oils

I must apologize for the ugly and worn out looks but I've dropped it more than one time and the tube is made of aluminium due to hygienic reasons so it will end up looking ugly sooner or later. Personally I'm not a huge fan of aluminium packaging since it's so difficult to squeeze out the remaining product inside when there's only a minimum left. (≧・≦)

If I remember correctly I paid something between 6-8 EUR for a tube containing 50 ml. Actually I forgot the price since I purchased this last summer so please bear with me.

I guess one tube should last you at least a couple of months if used on a regular basis. Since the texture is extremely thick and rich I only like to use this in the winter when my hands are dry and chapped.

Like the usual, all Weleda beauty products don't contain any synthetic fragrances, synthetic preservatives or other harmful chemicals. They promise that the ingredients are all natural.

Your review shows (again) how different cosmetics can be perceived. I find the weleda Handcream almost perfect since it feels light yet leaves a proctive layer on the hands. Although I ve only tested the 'Sandorn' and regeneration handcream, but not the lemon one.
    Greetz from Amsterdam! Liv

Nein, die Citrus Handcreme ist wesentlich reichhaltiger als die anderen Cremes von Weleda. Habe die Sanddorn naemlich auch bzw. hatte ich die Chance die zu probieren. ^^
