Alterra Limited Edition Cherry Blossom

Just wanted to make a quick post since I spotted the newest Alterra limited edition in my drugstore! ヾ(*⌒ヮ⌒*)ゞ
When I first saw the preview on Liv's blog I really wanted to purchase the entire collection!! haha! (☆▽☆) However, when I saw the actual display yesterday I don't know.... I was kinda... underwhelmed to be honest. In the end I only picked up a lip gloss. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

I have mentioned earlier that I absolutely adore anything that has cherry blossom print on it, but this time the packaging couldn't make me buy more things from the collection. haha.

Even though I was in a rush I still managed to include some swatches. (*≧ω≦)

This gloss doesn't contain any shimmer which is a huge plus to me. It leaves a super shiny and glossy finish without being too sticky. However, the downside would be the lasting power. You have to re-apply quite frequently which I personally don't mind too much but I know that some people do care for the lasting time so I figured I need to mention this as well.

Catrice Nail Lacquer#170 I Scream Peach!

Okay, today's confession time! I'm madly in love with nail polishes! It's a fact that I don't like to admit but seeing how my collection grows make me feel incredibly guilty. (。-`ω´-) Actually, I'm kind of hoarding nail polishes as I'm usually too lazy to paint my nails. Sometimes when I feel gloomy/upset/whatever negative emotions I take a look at my colorful paint pots and it will instantly lift up my mood. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) hehe.

However, since I prefer natural looks all the way, I mostly like to wear nude tones. But then it doesn't mean that I don't purchase more colorful shades. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ The other day, I walked out the drugstore with this nice peachy, coral nail polish. Actually, I had wanted to buy turquoise but I think that the color I ended up buying is more wearable for me.

It's called I Scream Peach! #170 and I believe that I paid around EUR 2.50 for one bottle which is soooo cheap and affordable. 。◕‿◕。

And this is how it looks on me. Excuse the sloppy application... I know that I'm not good at painting my nails or anything beauty related. The only thing that I can do perfectly is my eyeliner. haha. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫・*:.。. .。.:*・

Uhm.... I also apologize for my weird outfit as well, I was wearing my comfy home pants that day. As you can tell comfort is everything to me. hahahaha!! (ーεー)

Relaxing Sunday

Oh boy it feels like it's been ages since I've spent such a nice and relaxing day at home! Yes, at home. The past few weeks, no actually ever since I got back from Hongkong I had been out and about. Now I seriously feel so tired that I think it's about time to rest a bit. Actually, spending my Sunday in solitude isn't so bad as it sounds.(*TωT)

My brother come over to visit me and even helped me to do the laundry as I had posted on FB that I wasn't feeling too well due to hayfever. That was really sweet of him. I guess he wanted to take care of me in place of my mom who's in Hongkong right now. (☆▽☆) He even brought me some chocolate and green tea with lemon flavour. (*・∀-)☆

Speaking of chocolate, the other day I spotted these at the supermarket and of course, I couldn't resist. However, it feels so weird that you encouter limited editions almost everywhere in your daily life.

Come on, what's so special about these M&M's that it deserves to be called limited edition? (☆o◎) Just because of the color selection? It's ridiculous. However, I still bought a pack of it... Epic fail.... (Hey, I was craving for M&M's that day so please bear with me!) (*ω*|||)

Oh and while I'm talking about food, yesterday I met up with a friend and we went to a Japanese restaurant. I had donburi and have tried  納豆 for the first time. ^O^ I wouldn't necessarily call it yummy but it wasn't so bad either.

On the menu it says that the dish is supposd to be sticky. lol It was so true!! My friend had something with clams. Admittedly, I find that her dish looked gross at first sight but it was very yummy indeed!!

Alverde Eyeliner Pencil #07 Blue

Today I want to talk about the Alverde pencil eyeliners, I own a few of these, however, I think they vary a lot quality-wise. I picked the shade 07 in blue to write about, because I couldn't find my purple eyeliner any longer... First of all, I like to mention that I really love the pencil eyeliners from the limited editions, since they're nicely pigmented. Sadly I can't say the same for their regular editions.... I bought a purple and a blue shade, both are kinda hard to work with, plus pigmentation was pretty bad, too. Oh, I even had one in white as well which I originally purchased to use on my waterline, but soon abandoned this idea due to low pigmentation. Overall, pretty disappointing.

My April haul.

In April I was so busy that I forgot to stalk the drugstore. (And yes, I know that it's already May... lol) Under normal circumstances I will pay my favorite drugstore a weekly visit but I had no time to do so.... I usually don't like to do hauling posts (not talking about my HK haul, though) but have decided to show the few items that I bought anyway.

  • A newly released blush brush from Ebelin
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade #25
  • Essence eyebrow gel
  • Catrice Defining Duo Blush #050 Apricot Smoothie
  • Alverde Lipstick #10 Trendy Coral (Limited Edition)

I will let you know how the products are, since I haven't tried out a single item, yet..... However, I'm very curious if the concealer works for me or not. I wanted to repurchase my favorite Maybelline Mineral Concealer, but it was unavailable. Don't know if it's discontinued or simply out of stock. *gulp* The blush brush looks quite nice. It's made of synthetic bristles(?) and feels super soft. I hope it's good even though I don't expect too much from it since it was like 3 EUR or so.

What's inside my make up bag?

Today I want to share the contents of my make up bag. I love reading these kind of entries so I thought it would be nice and about time that I show you what's inside my daily make up bag. However, I must admit that it's been ages since I took these pictures (actually, a very long time before my vacation!) and I removed/exchanged some items etc. Maybe I'll be doing an updated version of this very soon. ^^

First of all, this is my (Devil) Hello Kitty make up pouch which I got from H&M. In fact, I also own two another versions of this pouch, one is in light pink featuring Angel Hello Kitty while the other in hot pink has the Devil Hello Kitty print on it. I especially adore the satin ruffle details. So cute!!! I've decided to use the black one to store my make up and tools since any possible stains wouldn't be as obvious and noticeable as on a pouch that's in a lighter color. (Makes sense, heh?)

I must say that this title is quite misleading since I don't carry this make up pouch with me whenever I go out or so. In fact, these are the only items that I bring with me when I travel or stay at a friends' place. Of course, when I travel I will also have a second bag which is filled with blush/highlighter/powder etc. To be honest, I don't like to go too much into details on the products shown above since I will do an updated version anyways. Basically what you see is mascara, eyeshadow primer, pencil eyeliner, eyebrow pencil (the super antique one from Rimmel which I mentioned in this post...), a gel to fix my eyebrows, highlighter pen, concealer, gel eyeliner, pencil sharpener, Panasonic eyelash curler/comb and my two eyelash curlers. Yes, I carry two eyelash curler with me since my eyes/eyelids are uneven and I find the results way better than just relying on one curler. The Koji eyelash curler works best on my left eye and for my right eye I find that a random eyelash curler (that I picked up from the local drugstore for around 3 EUR) works perfectly fine. I am weird like that.

Hello again and HK haul.

Honestly, I never thought that it would take me so long to be back on track with my regular blogging schedule. (〇Д◎ノ)

However, I have to admit that I've been very busy, too. I usually spend my day offs either with friends (and spending way too much $$$...) or simply stay at home and catch up with my favorite TV dramas just because I didn't watch any series during my stay in Hongkong. (〃ω〃) Also, my brother successfully got me hooked up with the Korean drama "Giant". I mean my brother is most likely the last person who would watch dramas but if I may quote him, he thinks the series is funny/entertaining at first and then very touching and moving towards the end. Actually the only reason why he watched "Giant" is due to nostalgic feelings as the series was being broadcasted in Hongkong during his stay in late November 2011. lol (^∀^*)

Okay, I don't want to waste more time with random blah blah, let's get started with the beauty-related stuff. The picture below shows my HK haul minus another tube of the Fiberwig mascara, the Dollywink felt tip eyeliner, a random eyebrow pencil (forgot the brand) and my Shiseido eyelash curler since the mentioned items are currently all in use, thus in my make up bag...

Oh, I forgot the 'My Beauty Diary' sheet masks.... they're not shown, but I only purchased two packs. I heard so many good things about the masks so I wanted to give these a try and see if they help to improve my skin condition or not. Let's see....

  • Skin 79 Gold BB Cream
  • Skinfood Eyebrow pencil
  • KATE felt tip eyeliner
  • Kiss Me Heroine Volume and Curl mascara
  • Kiss Me Heroine New Impact Frame and Curl mascara
  • Canmake blush
  • Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On
  • Fiberwig mascara
  • KATE pencil eyeliner
  • Eyelash comb
  • Koji eyelash glue
  • fake eyelashes that I picked up at Daiso for 10 HKD each (*≧∀≦*)
Acutally it's not a very big haul even though I had the impression that I'm spending a ton of money at Sasa or Bonjour. lol Apparently I was wrong...

I didn't buy any organic products since Hongkong isn't really a well-known paradise for that. I only spotted Melvita products as they were doing a promotion at Langham Place. Of course, I saw some small shops selling organic food but I wasn't particularly interested in that to be very honest. So instead, I focused myself on Japanese and Korean cosmetic brands since I can't get these in Germany so easily.
